Tarot Card of the Day

4 of Cups (Deck: Light Seer’s Tarot by Chris-Anne)

The 4 of Cups is traditionally about boredom with what you’ve got and failure to see a new opportunity being given to you. This card is no exception. When I was in my early 20’s an elder in my church told me being bored meant you were dull and ungrateful. I have heard those words in my head anytime I have felt bored ever since. We all have so much to be grateful for, and so much that we can do, that sometimes we get overwhelmed by all the options and then interpret that as boredom. Be creative and look around you! You probably have a plethora of things to do and just can’t choose. And watch for that hand coming out of nowhere with something new that you’re not noticing because you’re too busy being bored. Life continually gives us new opportunities for growth and learning. What is it offering you now? Open your eyes and look around, be mindful and grateful for everything in your life. That’s how we tell the universe we’re open to new opportunities. If you’re not happy with what you’ve been given, you won’t be given more. I know I must sound like a broken record all the time, telling you to be grateful for what you have so that you are open to new things. But it’s so true! My gratitude practice changed my life, and it can change yours.

Take a mindful look around you. What are you grateful for? What new opportunity is being offered to you? Do you have an open mind, ready for new things?
