Tarot Card of the Day

5 of Cups (Deck: Light Seer’s Tarot by Chris Anne)

The Cups suit is about emotions. In this card we see a woman with 5 bowls, some empty, one full. This card typically in other Rider-Waite Smith decks shows 3 cups tipped over and 2 standing, with the person having their back turned away, This is a card about loss and grief and hope. Yes, you’ve lost something (the overturned cups/empty bowls), and it’s ok to grieve for those things. But there’s a time to let go and focus on what you have left (the bowls or cups that are still upright or full). The person in the card hasn’t lost everything, they still have a full bowl in their hand. They can start over with what they have and move forward. There’s still hope. There’s still possibilities. Take your time to grieve for what you lost and then let go and move on. That’s what life is about. Bad things happen to everyone, we all need to learn how to continue on after a loss. It’s hard, and it takes time, but we do it. If we don’t we get stuck in regret and become bitter and angry. Bitter and angry is not a good way to live, and it’s unhealthy. Work through your loss and grief and then move on. Life is an adventure. Who knows what is waiting for you around the next corner?

Is there some loss you’re holding on to? Something you need to forgive and let go of so you can move on? Think on that today and decide what you can do to let go and move forward in your life.
