Tarot Card of the Day
The Hierophant (Deck: Light Seer’s Tarot by Chris-Anne)
I love this Hierophant card! It is so different than all my other decks. We see a young man sitting at the bottom of a staircase, that appears to lead to heaven/enlightenment/next step in your spiritual evolution. Not sure which. That’s an individual interpretation for you to decide. I love that the young man appears innocent and full of joy. He is so happy to be leading you to the light. This card isn’t about institutionalized religion like so many other Hierophant cards. This is about finding joy in your spirituality. Spirituality isn’t meant to be a set of rules of regulations and payments that you have to make in order to get to heaven. Your spiritual life should bring you joy and happiness and fulfillment, in this life, not just the next. If it’s not, you’re doing it wrong. I was miserable in my Christian religion. I never felt good enough or acceptable to God. I was too flawed. Now I’m happy and fulfilled, and feel accepted for who I am. I am on a spiral path, leading to spiritual enlightenment. We’re all on that path, whether we recognize it or not. We’re all on the staircase in this card, everyone on a different step. Our spirituality is individual, even when we practice with others. We all have our own spiritual path to travel, and everyone’s path is different.
Where are you on your spiritual path? Are you learning and progressing and becoming more enlightened? If not, if you feel stuck, do something about it! Read a spiritual book, meditate, take a class, choose a patron God/Goddess and learn about them, there are so many ways we can progress down our spiritual path. These are just a few that I have done myself. Your path is your own and you choose how to walk it. Just do it!
