Tarot Card of the Day

Ace of Cups (Deck: Tarot of the Divine by Yoshi Yoshitani)

The Ace of Cups indicates a day of strong emotions. They may be positive emotions like joy, happiness, contentment, love. Or they may be negative emotions like sadness, depression, regret, or anger. Whichever it is, just ride it out. It may be an emotional roller-coaster day. Use your emotions to fuel your projects today. When I’m angry, I use that energy to clean house. When I’m happy, I let myself enjoy things that bring me pleasure. Let yourself do what you FEEL like doing today. Let your emotions be your guide.

The Ace of Cups in the Tarot of the Divine is represented by the Apsaras, a Hindu myth from Cambodia. The Asparas are the immortal patrons of each aspect of the performing arts, and are all accomplished dancers. They typically marry their male musician counterparts. However, one Aspara was bored with her immortality and the men in heaven. So she looked to the Earth in the green land of Cambodia and found King Kambu Swayambhuva. She was impressed by his kindness and valor, and his travels from the far land of India. She gave up her mortality, married him, and established the Cambodian monarchy. She followed her feelings and found love and happiness on Earth.

What can you do today to use the energy of the Ace of Cups in your life? Follow your emotions to decide what to do today, and you will fill your cup with energy to use to help yourself and others accomplish many things.
