This series of 3 Classes builds upon each other in order to give all attendees a basic understanding of the worship and magick of La Santa Muerte. Santa Muerte is currently one of the fastest growing religious movements in the world. Condemned by the Catholic Church, Santa Muerte is a Folk Saint, a saint of the people in Mexico, and now world round. She is the patron of those in the outskirts of society and is known to be one of the most approachable Saints for people everywhere to work with. These 3 Classes build upon each other and taking each class in order is highly recommended.

Class 1: Beneath The Veil of Death: The Worship of La Santa Muerte – 2/26/22
This Class will introduce you to some basic cultural and historical background about Santa Muerte, and the cultural systems of religion, class and oppression that have given birth to her worship. We will cover some basic symbolism and magick that will be elaborated upon in our later classes. We will discuss cultural appropriation and why Santa Muerte cannot ever realistically or truly be a “Closed Practice.”
Class 2: The 3 Faces of Death: The Magic of La Santa Muerte. – 3/26/22
This class will cover the symbolism of the 3 main aspects of Santa Muerte and how to work with them for magical purposes. We will discuss prayer as a form of magic, traditional Catholic prayer as well as prayers unique to Santa Muerte. We will discuss Words of Power and being Power-Full as a personal every day and spiritual practice. We will cover basic offerings and how to work with Santa Muerte for petitioning miracles as well as basic candle magic, the magical novena.
Class 3: Before the Altar of Death: The Altar Work of Santa Muerte. – 4/30/22
In this class we will discuss your focal point for working with Santa Muerte: Your Santa Muerte Altar. We will discuss how and where to build your Santa Muerte Altar, Santa Muerte statues and images and their symbolism (that is review from Class 1), and ancestors and other spirits in Santa Muerte altars. We will also discuss what to do when you cannot have a Santa Muerte altar openly. We will cover why are our prayers not being answered, and why sometimes we feel disconnected from Santa Muerte. This class may be shorter in length than the other 2, so we will make a time for questions and answers at the end of class for questions that are review from past classes or have come up in the months after they have taken place.
About your instructor: Roman Delgado grew up around Brujos (Sorcerers), Curanderos (Healers), and Shamans. He has a strong background in Core Shamanism, Southern Conjure, Energy Healing, and Wicca. He has been working with Santa Muerte for over 10 years and she is the core of all his spiritual practices. His natural ability to speak with the Ancestors weaves all of these influences together to a more rounded practice that he hopes to pass on to his students.
