High Priestess (Deck: Light Seer’s Tarot by Chris-Anne)
The High Priestess sits serenely with her eyes closed, looking within. She has a crescent moon over her head and 2 curtains behind her, between which we see the universe. She is the keeper of hidden spiritual knowledge. But here’s the secret: we all have that knowledge with us. I am reminded of a line from The Charge of the Goddess by Doreen Valiente that says “if that which thou seekest, thou findest not within thee, thou wilt never find it without thee.” The High Priestess looks within for guidance, and so should we. When we sit quietly, close our eyes, and meditate, our mind seeks the answers to our problems within our own subconscious. Everything we’ve ever seen or heard is stored there and you can access it. Just listen to your intuition. Intuition is simply your mind processing information in our subconscious and giving us an answer. Trust it. If you have a gut feeling about something, listen! Our subconscious stores way more information than our conscious mind which is concerned with just taking care of immediate business. Our subconscious constantly works in the background and will give us nudges when we need to know something. Learn to listen to that still small voice when it speaks to you. Meditation is one way we can practice listening. Just sit down comfortably, close your eyes, and let your thoughts bounce around your head until they slow down and stop. Then listen.
Today listen to your intuition. If you get a sudden thought that you need to do something, do it. Listen to that still small voice, it knows more than you do.
