The Devil stands before us, a handsome man with piercing eyes and long flowing black hair, reaching out his hand, offering to make your troubles go away. Do you resist the temptation or give in to it? This man in the bottom corner of the card gave into it, believed the Devil’s offer, and is now in bondage to the Devil. See the puppet strings? The Devil’s proposal may be tempting at times. Sometimes we don’t see a way out of our situation, and go down the easy dark path to avoid the problem. For make no mistake, The Devil will not SOLVE your problem, he will just help you forget about it for a while. His favorite tool is addiction, of which there are many kinds, and none of them are good for you. The challenge is to stay strong, resist the temptation, don’t take that first step towards addiction. Believe in your own ability to take care of the situation, because you are capable! You may not see the way out right now, but if you meditate on it, and talk to the people closest to you or a therapist, you may find solutions you haven’t thought of, and that will help you resist the temptations of the Devil.
